Day 13
Greetings Earthlings, I have setup transmission this evening in the human town of Roswell, New Mexico. Its pretty nifty
here, everything from the Walmart to various hotels in the area have alien and UFO pictures posted all over them. Its pretty
obvious what put this town on the map. They're cashing in, but its still awesome for enthusiasts like myself to see the
town.
Getting back to earlier today, we headed out a little early from Flagstaff as we had quite a bit of driving to do. Arizona
is beautiful, but most of the scenery in this part of the state is pretty much the same (I prefer the southern part of the
state). When we crossed the border from Arizona to New Mexico immediately some cool landformations started popping up more,
and interestingly enough the plantlife actually increased a bit, relatively speaking.

When we started going south towards Roswell a HUGE storm front started appearing in the distance.

I thought for a while we were going to miss it, then when we started going through it it seemed fine with no rain. Then we
pretty much got completely HAMMERED with downpour, I had to slow down from 80 to 30 because I couldn't see the road at all at certain
points. Its all flatland so I wasn't too too worried, but still, I didn't want to hydroplane or hit any other cars.
The heavy stuff ended pretty quickly and we got back to driving. Then (before I knew it, and had a chance to take a picture)
we passed the entrance to one area of the Foster ranch, the actual site of the 1947 crash. This is a snapshot of a portion
of the field a few feet down from the entrance.

It definitely sent a shiver up my spine - even though I've always been
pretty frightened of the idea of extra-terrestrials, I've also always been very interested, and like the thousands of UFO
enthusiasts before me, I've done my share of research into the topic, and if you've done any reading you know about Roswell.
The government says weather balloons - the Majestic-12 documents and other supporting material say UFO from the stars. I'm
not sure what to believe - but we're heading over to one of the two UFO museums here in Roswell to take a look tomorrow.
More pictures then!
Afterwards we're off to Fort Worth to meet up with Mysti and Dave for some dinner! Looking forward to it, I haven't seen
them in person for almost two years now! Up to 5800 miles now!
PS, I ate at a Sonic tonight (for the first time) and got a Toaster Chicken Club at the suggestion of Mariah, it was very tasty indeed, thanks!
