Day 16
Hey hey hey - (barely) coming to you from Anderson, South Carolina this hot summer night. We've done some serious traveling
in the last 2 days, we've gone from Texas, through Arkansas, then Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and have finally
made it to South Carolina - meaning we've hit both the coast and Eastern Time Zone! Honestly not too many pictures today -
Alabama and Georgia have some nice scenery, but its mainly trees and grassy scenery, a lot like the North East. We managed
to snap off a few pictures of state signs on the way in.

How does the sign know what I'm thinking!? GOD ITS EERIE!

This is actually my second time in South Carolina, but last time I was here I was 10 years old and hurricane Hugo had just
hit, so needless to say I don't really remember things much, at least not the way things are now. One kind of neat thing
about the flora around here is this vine (Ivy? Something else? I'm not sure) that covers pretty much all the trees, just
completely grows around them and I imagine kills them from blocking out the sunlight.

when we finally arrived at the hotel, a large number of hot air balloons (10-12 maybe) were flying off into the sky, looks
like something was definitely going on. Here are a few of them.

I'm still having fun, but to be honest at this point I just need to get home - work is starting to creep back into my mind,
the 7000+ miles I've driven is starting to wear onto me, and I am just really tired. The last thing I'm really looking
forward to is hitting Red Bank, I really want to stop into Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash. We'll be staying somewhere in
Virginia tomorrow, then Red Bank the next day, then Friday we'll be home. Past that I just want to get the driving over
with, I'm done sightseeing. That's not to say I'm not still enjoying things, I'm just in "wrap-it-up" mode.
Ooh! I almost forgot - this trip from Texarcana, TX to Atlanta, GA is dedicated to THE MAN, Burt Reynolds.

See you tomorrow in Virginia, 3 days left!
